Over the weekend we went to a sugar house in Holley. Maple Grove Farms taps over 1000 trees to make the syrup. It has been a family business for several generations. It's hard to believe that it takes 43 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup - no wonder it is expensive! At the tasting the owner showed us a great way to use the maple cream - put a dap of it on a cracker and cheddar cheese. What a delicious treat!
