My Boys

I'm anticipating the weekend. All three boys(and two girlfriends) are coming home. The reason - the wedding of a son of family friends. Gone are those days when we were always together at home. They have grown and "flown the coop." But from time to time we manage to get together. This weekend three of my four children will be here to celebrate the joy of the wedding. I know I''ll treasure every minute with them.
My only regrets for the weekend are its going too quickly and my daughter(and son-in-law) will not make it home(Cambodia is too far away!). I am grateful for my boys and look forward to welcoming each with a big hug.

We are enjoying our time with daughter Amanda and husband Daniel for a few days before they leave for their 3 years in Cambodia. It is with sadness to see them go but am happy for them as this is in God's plan is for them. On a happy note - when we drove them to Buffalo on Thursday to begin their flight, their plane was to be delayed for over 3 hours (weather in NYC) which meant they would miss the connecting flight. After quick calls to MCC headquarters their flight plan now is to leave on Saturday evening and this time from Rochester not Buffalo. Almost 2 more days with them with no last minute running around, everything is packed and ready to go!

"Its not far from MCC (I usually walked - about 15-20 min, but moto is like 5 min). The area is pretty quiet ie. you can hear frogs at night and it has great breezes on the front veranda area. Landlords are fantastic and will even change lightbulbs for you! You will have to cross over a major road to get there and most of the roads here are crazy with traffic. But after a little practice, there's nothing to it."
